Audio Engineering

I was taught by some incredible mentors how audio engineers are performers in their own right- responding live to each performance's unique challenges and complexities. I understand that audio engineering does not only require a sharp ear, it also demands emotional and physical intuitiveness. The ability to regularly communicate with actors and be flexible to changing performance conditions is what makes an audio engineer great. This is why I am passionate about audio engineering- it combines a skill for flexibility and community building with an involvement in the irreplaceable live performance aspect of theatre.
