Sound Design

It used to really shock me how late in the process sound designers got folded in, but I now understand how an actor's choices can change the aural needs of a production. Sound design doesn't just support and contextualize a production. At its best, sound design sharpens every dull edge, activates environment even on a bare stage or a full blackout, and adds texture which moves and breathes alongside the action. I have just begun to understand the expansive role of sound in theatre, and I am excited to continue learning through collaboration.
